You all are wonderful. I had to call you 3 times in September, 2 of which were on the same night, to help my husband. The first 2 times were to get him up off the floor and the 3rd time, just hours after the 2nd time, was to take him to Howard County General Hospital. I can't say enough good things about how you handled each situation. My husband, unknown to him at the time of the first one, had stage 3 lymphoma and had gotten very weak. He died September 20, just 4 days after you took him to the hospital. You tried to get him to go to the hospital on your earlier visit that night and he turned it down, but a few hours later he said he wanted to go so I called you back. Thank you very much for all you did for us.

Nice to see that the Savage VFC is still going strong! While doing some online research looking for a restaurant in Virginia, your website popped up on my screen - I was blown away - had to look and comment. I enjoyed looking at the membership roster - lots of members with whom I have many great memories from when I was a member there from 1974 until 1986. I hope you can continue to provide your great Community service for many years to come.

Just celebrating my 50th year in the fire service, which began in 1974 when Station 9 opened in Columbia. It's good to see a few familiar names still with the department. I have been a paid on call firefighter with the City of Lapeer fire department for 35 years, and I'm still active, other than I don't go inside anymore. I have great memories of my relatively short 5 years with the Savage VFD, and send my best regards out to any who might remember me. Stay safe.

I called 911 today, August 31st, for my mom, Elsie Matthews. Sean and his team from the Savage Fire Department responded. I want to thank them for doing an outstanding job with my mom and the family. They attended to her needs at home and even at the hospital. You guys are the BEST!!!!
