On Saturday at approximately 1600 hours, units were alerted for a reported house on fire with people possibly still inside in the 9400 block of Guilford Road. Units arrived to find heavy fire and after a search of the home it was determined all of the occupants had thankfully made it out safely. Units from Savage operated on the scene with 10 volunteer/career members for over two hours while other members reported to the station to staff other equipment for calls. Thank you to all of the brave members of your fire department that put themselves at risk every day to save our lives and keep us safe. You are very much appreciated and we are so grateful that you are there!

Thank you so much for everything you did to help my Mom! This was my Mom’s home for over 60 years- it was where I grew up-it was heartbreaking to see go up in flames! I glad that my former firefighter colleagues were there to help! Thank you!
